Rippa Rugby

Kiwi sport- Rippa Rugby
This term for Kiwi sport we have been learning how to play Rippa Rugby. This is a great introduction for beginners to learn ball control, skills and how to hold the ball.
Each child has a black band to wrap around their body, with 2 coloured tags (rippa's), which sit on their hips. They have been learning how to run with the ball on attack, focus on holding the ball and running towards their try line. The other team are defending and try to get the tags off the children's bands, they have to hold the tag up to show they have made a 'rip' and then give back to player.

Defending team stay in lines and walk side to side(Crabs)

Term 3- We are exploring Space and have already done Day and Night, Sun and Moon...

Please feel free to come into our class and find out and learn new information about Space.

We have just had our Cross Country at Shakespeare park, it was a windy and cold day. However all the children had a great day and tried their hardest in their races.

This week is book week and we have been reading lots of different New Zealand stories and some fun books about Space.
