Ukulele show
Last week we had a 3 piece Ukulele band, called The 'Nukes' come into school for a whole school performance. They were excellent and are all very talented. They sang lots of songs with great themes that the children really enjoyed hearing and dancing along to.

News- Term 2, Week 6 and 7.
Room 8 students could bring in an instrument, a picture or drawing with facts about the instrument. The children all have different interests in musical instruments, they all enjoyed showing them and telling the class interesting facts and information too.

Buddy Reading with Room 1.
We have been doing 'Buddy Reading' with Room 1 this year.
Each week on a Thursday before lunch we meet our Room 1 buddy in the shade area. The children sit together and read their book to each other. The older children are very positive and keen to help with sounding out hard tricky words. Encouraging them to read aloud and listening to their stories.

Junior Swimming Sports
At the end of term 1 the Junior syndicate had their swimming sports for all the teachers, parents, grandparents, families and friends see how much they had improved with their swimming skills.
